Microsoft are allowing Windows 7 PC buyers until February 28th, 2013 to upgrade to Windows 8 at the low, low price of just $14.99.
The Windows Upgrade offer is open for registration to everyone that bought a Windows 7 PC between June 2nd, 2012 and January 31st, 2013.
All you will need to take part in the upgrade offer is your 25 digit Windows 7 product key, which will be validated as part of the online registration process. When October the 26th rolls around and Windows 8 is officially released, those that have registered will receive promo codes via email from Microsoft, which can then be applied to the checkout within the Windows 8 upgrade assistant.
