It seems that 2012 is the time for tablets to come down in price. In the wake of the Amazon Kindle Fire’s price reduction, the iPad 2’s reduction in the wake of the ‘New’ iPad’s release, and the success of Google’s Nexus 7, Barnes & Noble look as though they want a piece of the action.

The 16GB version, originally priced at $249 has been reduced to $199, whilst the 8GB version has gone down from $199 to $179, although for an extra $20 you might as well plum for the 16GB.

The Tablets are based on Android and have a 7-inch screen much like the Nexus 7 and is particularly similar to that of the Amazon Kindle Fire sharing similar features such as being an e-reader, a media device and a web browser.
